Lakamas Roots tells a story of camas, a sacred first food of the PNW. The golden base radiates warmth like the earth cradling the bulbs, while streams of purple and blue evoke it’s preferred moist grounds. The camas holds stories of patience, with the bulb taking many years to reach harvestable size, and the enduring, unbroken threads of ancestral knowledge. Camas also teaches about the balance of what is seen and unseen, the strength beneath the surface.

Trillium Rising honors the quiet strength of a flower that blooms at the first breath of spring. The trillium carries teachings of balance through the harmony of its three petals and three leaves, and is known for its medicinal offerings. Traditionally, trillium was used to aid in childbirth and soothing the skin. The upward arrows woven through the design echo the flower’s message of resilience, growth, and renewal. This piece is a reminder that strength can be both soft and powerful, paralleling the trillium’s connection to femininity.
